We partner with the private sector, funders, NGOs, governments and social enterprises to strengthen health systems. EMPLOYMENT & EDUCATION

The potential of youth remains untapped today globally, with their skill levels not meeting the needs of over-burdened labor markets. We seek to understand the overarching patterns in their career journeys, key defining moments, and employment as part of a comprehensive behavioral framework which has helped inform a range of new skills-building programs, interventions and investments.

We help the humanitarian sector face the rapidly changing and challenging dynamics of today’s world by helping them design effective strategies, partnerships, services and delivery models. We support a diverse range of actors – including governments, foundations and social enterprises – become more flexible and prepared for the humanitarian crises of the future.


OFFERINGS - DESIGN LABS

Frequently, organizations go to considerable expense and effort to bring together diverse stakeholders, only to make poor use of their time, missing the opportunity to generate new perspectives and approaches in an active and collaborative manner. Our design team is fully acclimated to working across disciplines to drive alignment toward shared visions and breakthrough thinking for small convening of 5-10 people and large sessions with more than 200 participants. 

OPPORTUNITY MAPPING - SMALLHOLDER FARMER

SYSTEM MAPPING - VIETNAM APPAREL INDUSTRY

DD designed and facilitated a system mapping lab with stakeholders across the public and private value chain to create a sustainable roadmap for the apparel sector in Vietnam.

RAPID PROTOTYPING - INDIAN URBAN MFI

We have seen too many organizations get stuck in long program planning cycles and then invest valuable resources in expensive pilots without taking the simple step to rapidly prototype and test their assumptions early-on. DD specializes in using agile techniques to to rapidly test and prototype a range of behavior change, incentive and service delivery models using a diverse set of design tools. Our approach leverages key techniques from social science and participatory design to ensure that the results are structured and rigorous.

Social impact generally requires influencing multiple dimensions of a fragmented ecosystem. Key elements of service delivery are often neglected or compromised because program designers did not take a coordinated or holistic view. Our teams leverage user insights to create an integrated picture of needs and opportunities across the entire user journey.
